Life is Good....

We've been pretty busy, so this blog has fallen a bit behind....but there's lots of good stuff coming up this week in Gig-Land starting tomorrow with a private show up in Perth in the afternoon, then it's up to Kemptville, Ontario for the Kemptville Live Music Festival where you'll find Head Over Heels on the Bounder Stage between acts - V and I are REALLY looking forward to catching the incredible Dawn Tyler Watson's performance that night too.  SATURDAY, a bit closer to home we're at Muskie Jake's Tap & Grill at the Gananoque Inn for the first time - if you find yourself in the area drop by between 6:30-9:30pm and catch a few tunes. SUNDAY we are back at The Cove Country Inn for another session on the patio from 12:30-3:30pm. It's THE BEST place to wind up the weekend and we look forward to it every week.  Life is GOOD! #SUPPORTLIVEMUSIC - hope we'll see some familiar faces along the way. Stay Cool!

Time Keeps on Ticking Ticking....

Well June certainly flew by.  We've been busy gigging, most recently enjoyed some "Magic Moments" this past Thursday night at the #BatterseaPorchSessions with some delightful folks at Holiday Country Manor. What a great place to be! A beautiful enclosed porch to play in, most gracious owners Jeff and Core who are renovating this grand old manor house. Amazing food and a supportive and lovely group of people listening. They've got something special there indeed. Drop by and check them out sometime ( Every Thursday there's music on the porch - places like this remind us to slow down, relax, be present, and enjoy the important things - like the company of good friends. Looking forward to being back there in August!

Sunday turned out to be a pretty stellar day out on the patio. We've been especially blessed these last two weekends at The Cove Country Inn, with marvellously attentive audiences - a performer's dream.  Ever so grateful to those who come up after a set and say hello, or buy a CD, or in some cases hire us for a special occasion - Love it! Thank you so much.

We've got some special gigs coming up this Canada Day Long weekend; Saturday afternoon we'll be on the patio at the beautiful Huff Estates Winery in the county.  Then a double header at The Cove Inn with the one and only Zak Colbert - bassist extraordinaire.  First round is 12:30-3:30pm, then the next show (after a nap!) is 6-9pm.  There will be fireworks down at the Westport town park afterwards. Hope to see some of you out and about on the weekend. In the meantime - Stay Cool!

Music Makes the World Go Round...

How about that weekend?! Finally - spectacular day Sunday at The Cove Country Inn - beautiful to be out on the patio playing for all the lovely people. Big thank you to those who came up and said hi, bought a CD, took some promo! We truly appreciate the support. Always wonderful to see some old friends too, and all the great staff at the Cove.

Another weekend is coming up fast, and here's what I'll be up to, starting FRIDAY - the Bob Robertson Trio is at Stonewater Gastro Pub & Cafe to play a few tunes from 8pm-11pm. An eclectic set list, great harmonies - it's bound to be a good night. SATURDAY the Bob Robertson Trio AND Head Over Heels join forces to play for the Annual Kingston Yacht Club Sail Past festivities. SUNDAY, V and I wind up our weekend in the most wonderful way on The Cove Country Inn patio - hoping for another BEAUTY day - join us from 12:30-3:30pm, try the Sangria!

Enjoy the rest of your week - hope to see you soon, and in the meantime Stay Cool & Keep Warm!

Days Aren't Long Enough....

What a great weekend of music! Good fun Friday night at the Glen House Resort - great to see some old friends from Maitland, and Kingston who came up for the music (thanks for the pic Susan). Sunday afternoon, Mother Nature was in a chilly mood, conspiring against our patio plan at The Cove Country Inn, so we moved indoors and played to the folks in the lounge - lovely to have Miss V's brother and family from Toronto in the audience. Wound up our Sunday having our faces melted :) by the Tony Silvestri band in the evening! In all seriousness - a fantastic bunch of players; Tom Savage Music, Tony SIlvestri, Richard Piche and Bonz Bowering put on quite a show. Go see 'em if you can!

Coming up this week, V and I are at the Cove Country Inn on Sunday, and hoping for some better weather so we can actually be on the patio. Join us from 12:30 - 3:30 pm! Stay Cool & Keep Warm!

The Beat Goes On....

Last week had a whirlwind trip to Toronto to meet the new grand baby - he's a pretty laid-back, very handsome little guy if I do say so myself!  On the weekend, the 10th annual Homegrown Live music festival took place in Kingston, and I got to play the Songwriter's Lounge. a new venue, at Monte's along with a number of really great area songwriters playing their original music all afternoon.

On to THIS week - Friday....Zak is BACK to join us at the RCHA Club Kingston - The Royal Canadian Horse Artillery Brigade Association from 9-12pm. Looking forward to having a little more bottom end this week... SUNDAY, is my last week of the Royal Jelly for the year. Derrick Claridge has graciously agreed to keep it going so long as there's enough interest So, drop by between 2 and 5pm and play a few tunes, and listen to a few tunes - bring a few friends, and spread the word. Summer - I love it. Stay Cool - Keep Warm!
